The Role of the Steering Committee
The San Joaquin Valley Regional Conservation Investment Strategy (RCIS) Steering Committee shapes the development and implementation of the RCIS. The Steering Committee meets regularly and consists of an inclusive and diverse set of members who lend their expertise on the San Joaquin Valley and specific conservation issues. The Steering Committee fosters buy-in from key groups and ensures that the RCIS is reflective of local perspectives, and therefore will lead to better conservation outcomes.
